CAS membership includes the ability to train to use the Society's 14" Meade
telescope in the "TARDIS" observatory on Mount Stromlo
The Canberra Astronomical Society Inc. (CAS) welcomes new members.

Membership of CAS offers you the following benefits:

  • voting rights at the Society's AGM
  • lending rights at our Astronomy library
  • our monthly journal The Southern Cross
  • hire of various reflector and refractor telescopes
  • our annual Canberra-based comprehensive ephemeris

  • monthly night sky tours using the CAS 14" Meade telescope

  • free use of the 14" Meade telescope once trained to use it.

Membership Fees

Membership of CAS is on an annual basis ending on June 30 of the financial year. Half fees apply to new members joining after January 1 each year.
